Conference Time 2015

TESL London was very excited by the quantity and quality of Presentation proposals this year.  This was the first time that I, as Communications Chair, had the opportunity to see the process unfold.  Let me assure every one of our members that each and every proposal is read thoroughly and discussed.

The theme this year is "Open Hearts, Compassionate Minds".  Presentations that will be available to attend and participate in include topics on self-management, the use of oppressive language in the classroom, PTSD,  publishers’ workshops, PBLA and of course, some technology options (Prezi and Smartboard – Advanced Features) among others.   Complete details will be posted online by April 7th, but you can click here for the full program.

I confess to being a conference junkie.   I love being a part of conferences.  I love attending and presenting, and networking with you all.  We run into each other from time to time, but it is at the conference that we can dialogue about what’s happening in (or to) the field of ESL.  Conversations started in the lunch room can continue at the conference and include colleagues from other sites.

In addition to that, there is a myriad of publishers and exhibitors displaying their wares.  I find that this is a great time to get to see what's out there, what's new, and to talk directly to the publishers.

After you've attended, let me know what you think.  Write to me at and I will post your insights here.

It's time to get your conference on!
